The ninth annual "Especially for You" Women's Race Against
Breast Cancer will be held on Sunday, October 10, 1999. This
race is dedicated to the memory of Sandy (Beaty) Knight, who
lost her own battle against breast cancer in 1991 . Sandy is the
daughter of Bill and Ellie Beaty and grew up in Fairfax,
The Fairfax State Savings Bank invites you to participate as a
member of our team. This year's race includes a 5K Run, SK
Walk and a 1 -mile Family Walk. If you register as a FSSB Team
Member between Friday, September 24 and Thursday,
September 30, 1999, the bank will pay of the $ 15.00
registration fee.
All proceeds are used to provide breast care services for
women in need.

In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in
October, the Fairfax State Savings Bank is sponsoring a
Women's Community Day to enable you and your friends to
receive a mammogram, The Mercy Medical Center Mobile Unit
will be in the bank parking lot on Friday, October 22, 1999,
from 9:00 am to 6:010 pm. Please contact your physician for a
written or phone order then call Mercy Women's Center to
schedule your mammogram appointment at 398-6643.
