*Winter Story Time is up and running at the !Fairfax Public Library. We Have Story Time on
Thursday evenings at 6:30 and Monday mornings at 10:30. During the month of April we
will be discovering fairy tales and would love to have new preschoolers join us.
*We would life to invite everyone in to the library to see our monthly tree, It is decorated
differently each month and you wouldn't want to miss it,

The Fairfax Fire Department held its helping to protect the citizens of our fire
annual Fireman's Supper February 0th district.

Dear Fairfax Friends,
This March 23rd will be the third anniversary of the loss of our
daughter Tiffany. In the last two years we have collected over 1,300
children's books in her honor, Last .year we received over 400 books in her
memory. We would like to thank all of you who donated books in the past.
We are touched deeply by your generosity.
We distributed them to various organizations, schools, libraries, and area
hospital including the University of Iowa. The children at the hospitals got to
take these books home with them. Our family and friends helped to put a
picture of Tiffany with the donors name in each of the books. If you would
like to donate a new or barely used book please put your name inside on a
piece of paper so we can honor each donor. Please help us keep her love
for children and her memory alive. You may drop off your books at Cedar
Valley Asphalt, Fairfax State Savings Bank, or at our house at 714 Linn
Street in Fairfax. Thank you for your continuous support. We are truly
blessed with wonderful friends.

WASTE MANAGEMENT
IMPORTANT NOTICE
As of June 30, .2002, our waste (hauling contract will expire with Waste
Management. We are in the process of submitting bid proposals to haulers
in our area.
Please try to buy a sufficient amount of tags to get through to June 25th.
This is the last trash pickup day with our current tag system. Any tags that
are purchased in excess will not be refundable.
As of July 2nd, we will have a different tag system and we are not sure at
this point what the new tag system its going to be.
"Yard waste pickup will be starting Tuesday, April 2, 2002."
