There was discussion of the tablets the council currently uses being passed on to the Planning and Zoning Commission, and purchasing iPads for the council. We welcome 4 paramedics to our DECEMBER 10, 2013 staff! Marcus Burns, Jake Sharpe, and Mike Steimel have all passed their paramedic exams. We also welcome new member, Nick Heinz, to our fire department, who is also a paramedic! There are many issues to remember concerning snow. Be sure to drive and walk carefully. Slick conditions are beyond our control and can set in very fast. If you don't have to be out during a storm, please stay in and stay safe. The City crew goes out to work on the streets when the snow accumulation reaches two inch- es, is blowing or drifting to affect traffic, or there are icy conditions, needing sanding. Remove all vehicles from the street parking areas during a winter storm. Don't place them back on the street until the snow has stopped and the street has been plowed. The snow plows are much more effective when they can pass through the street easily REPAIRand straight along the side of the road. Vehicles on the street must be moved every 24 hours, regardless of weather conditions. The use of ATVs on roadways and sidewalks is CK prohibited. It is the responsibility of the abutting property owners to remove snow, ice, and ac- U L L cumulations promptly from sidewalks.
