REAL HEROES--BE A HERO TOO!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL at CLOVER RIDGE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH Tht 22nd Annual
Ah! School is out! NOT SO FAST! Clover Ridge United 'Vlethodist Church in Walford will be
hosting the annual Vacation Bible School July 21 through 24, during evening hours. The cost is
$6/child, maximum $15/family. Children ages 4 (and potty trained) through (going into) 51h grade are
invited to participate in this year's theme, Real Heroes-Be a Hero Too! In the current "Hollywood"
climate of super beings, we believe that we should give our children some "Real Heroes"--some real
people (with divine help) who have made a difference in the world. Each evening, we will examine a
current "Real Hero" and a Bible Hero. They will be participating in crafts, recreation, and music.

Children will also deal with a real-world issue that they might be facing.

FAIRFAX HISTORICAL FOUNDATION
The monthly meeting of the Fairfax Historical Foundation was held May 21 st
at the Fairfax Library. A web site will be developed to share the purpose of the
foundation. It will also allow visitors to look into future events, ask general ques-
tions or questions about genealogy. USA Day was discussed and how we can get
the word out about the foundation and using the event as our first fundraiser. We
will set up a table to offer information on participating with volunteering and
fundraising.
As a reminder we are looking for Fairfax artifacts for the foundation and we
are still looking for a home. If you have any suggestions or ideas please contact
