LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES SEPTEMBER 2, 2014 Library Board Minutes MAYOR'S MINUTE September 2, 2014 Board Members present: Mary Rita Meyers, Roger Able, Billy Toner, David Lees , Dot Pospischil, Bernie Kleppe, Tim By Jason Rabe Stallman and Linda Pribvl. Absent, Excused: Theresa Whittlesev. Staff Present: Cathy Bayne and Beth Wilz Pospischil called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. CITY COUNCIL MINUTES SEPTEMBER 9, 2014 CITY OF FAIRFAX ✓`� REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 9, 2014 The regular meeting of the Fairfax City Council was held Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at Fairfax City Hall. Mayor Rabe called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Council members present: JoAnn Beer, Bernie Frieden, and Marianne Wainwright. Marc Magers and Travis Otto were absent. Other city staff present: Cynthia Stimson and Lynn Miller. Motioned by Beer, seconded by Frieden to approve the agenda. Ayes: Beer, Frieden, and Wainwright. EEO' Nays: None. Absent: Magers and Otto. Motion carried. - Motioned by Frieden, seconded by Beer to approve the City Council minutes dated August 12, 2014 and August 21, 2012. Ayes: Beer, Frieden, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Motioned by Frieden, seconded by Beer to place on file the Library Board of Trustees minutes dated Au- 135 80th Street gust 5, 2014 and the Parks and Beautification Committee minutes dated July 17, 2014. Doug Mueller, with Signal 88, discussed their reports. 319-846-2330 No one was present for the library. Lynn Miller discussed the hydrant replacement project, street work, flushing, and the two quotes for con- crete trail work at The Complex. Motioned by Magers, seconded by Frieden to approve the quote from E & F Paving for $40,801.28 for concrete trail work at The Complex. An additional access is to be added and culvert work completed by staff Ayes: Beer, Frieden, Magers, and Wainwright. Nays: None. Absent: Otto. Motion carried. Linn County Deputy LaMere presented the list of calls. The list was questioned because it is short and the hours still seem normal. JoAnn Beer reported that the parking lot at Prairie Creek Park is completed and looks great. She met ROCKET with the Sankots about the detention basin area.
