Happy New Year Fairfax! As the new year starts off, FHF, like everyone Deadline is February 28tH else, we have goals and resolutions. Our first resolution is to inform the community of who we are and what we do. Many of you don't know about Recipe: From: us. We might not have a building but we want you to know we are working hard to make sure Fairfax's history will be preserved. We are a Federal and State nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to preserve Fairfax and the township's history for our future generations. This community has history dating back to the 1850s and family ties from the 1870s. This history is yours. Help us preserve it. One of big projects this year will be our Historical Cookbook. We will have it available for purchase during USA days. The funds raised from this effort will go toward preserving historical artifacts, working with the township in an effort to fix older tombstones in the cemetery and of course finding a building to show off Fairfax History. FHF would like to thank the City of Fairfax for donating street signs with names connected to our past. It will be great someday to display them with the history behind the names. Our meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Fairfax Library. Take recipe to Library or drop in one of the envelopes placed in business around town.
